We had a very uneventful Easter week. I had lots planned, but Ronan, Charley and I have this hacking, coughing, fever, snot virus. They did a little egg decorating with 102 degree temperatures and an egg hunt in the yard. We missed Church on Sunday as well, but we spent a relaxing afternoon kite flying. They boys have finally recovered after 2 weeks, but I still have a little of the bug. I'm sure it will go away some day. The boys were bored today, so I bundled them up and sent them out in the rain...that lasted 10 minutes. Yes the dog has a coat too. I had her shaved this last week, because the shedding was more than I could handle. Think sweeping twice a day, lots of vacuuming, daily dog combing and hair in our food. But the weather decided to turn cold again, so now poor pooch who has lost her floof gets cold. Her mouth is open, because she is eating a large rock. She also loves metal drain pipes, wood, foam, and her very favorite is anything made of hard plastic. We really do feed her and give her appropriate chew toys. I really hope the weather warms up, because we are planning on leaving on Saturday to take a camping vacation...

Rain, Rain go away...

Rough Week
The week is only half over and we had been to the emergency room twice. On Monday, Greg was determined to finish the basement and got in a hurry. After cutting his last piece of molding he reached down to turn the off the table saw and the saw jumped up and bit his thumb. Or maybe he stuck his thumb in the saw. We rushed off to the emergency room and found he had cut off the end of the bone and chopped the thumb pretty good on the end. The stitched up what they could and sent us home. The pain medicine is beating him up more than the thumb pain. He went off the pain meds, so hopefully he will start feeling better. This afternoon, Charley was walking down the driveway and the dog tripped him and he landed face first on a skate board. So we headed to the emergency room again and he now has 6 beautiful stitches right in the middle of his forehead. They actually wrapped him up in a sheet, then strapped him to a board injected shots in the wound and stitched him and he didn't shed a tear. What a brave guy! After his bath tonight, he said, "It's okay Mama, at least I got a reward." He is very excited to have the suringe from the hospital that they used to clean it out. Greg needs to get to the hospital tomorrow to have his wound checked, and the dog needs her stitches out on Friday. Then next week, both Greg and Charley need to go back to the hospital to have them removed. Wow! I could think of better ways to have fun. I hope your week is better than ours.
