Fall

 A beautiful day visiting Sauvie Island.  We were spoiled with nice, warm, sunny days in early October.  They are gone.

 I had to put this one in.  Greg was promoted to Major and I took his promotion pictures.  Not exactly studio quality, but hey it was 10pm.

 The last of my tomatoes.  The plant is finally starting to die with all of the rain, but still full of blooms and green tomatoes.

We got our new "old" piano tuned.  Here are it's guts.  It took 1 1/2 hours.

An old beauty

 Here she is...our new/old piano.  This was built by Bailey Piano Co. in 1907.  I had all intentions of painting it wild, but once I discovered how old it was...I'll just leave it.  It's super fun to play on.

Time for school!

 They are so excited!  4th and 2nd grade, here we come. 

 Greg had to take the day off, so he didn't miss out on the excitement. 

 Charley's class...a big one this year with 28 kids, but a great, organized teacher.  He will learn a lot this year.

 I snuck a picture of Ronan's class.  He is telling me to leave.  Sheesh, no kisses for me again this year.  He has the same teacher...an awesome guy...and 24 kids.  They are so blessed to go to such a great school.  They have very challenging math, reading, writing, science, 3x week Mandarin, art, P.E., music and history.

Final leg of the road trip

 This leg of the trip...Redwoods up to Cape Perpetua was a long one, but so worth it.  The southern coast line was beautiful.  The campground at Cape Perpetua was super small, but clean and quiet and a short hike to the beach.  Blackberries and flowers everywhere.

 We arrived in early evening just in time to catch this!

 Maybe he should have gone into modeling?  Just kidding.

 Pure. Boy. Heaven.  They arrived at the beach to an awesome fort already built up for them.  The following day, we spent hours here.

 It was a super fun summer.  The boys say " We are ready for school!"

 8 nights of camping leaves you with this...2 of the loads were in the washer and dryer.  That totaled 9 loads.  I hate laundry.

We had a friend caring for the garden and this was what he didn't pick after 9 days.  We have had so many tomatoes this year...about 10 times this many.
