Beach fun and fishing tournament

Sand cone anyone?

Charley likes to snorkel close to shore.


We went to a fishing tournament on base and didn't catch a thing.



Charley got himself a new sun hat. Yep he picked it out all by himself. He wanted a "wooden" one.

Hot dogs for lunch...

Maunawili Falls

Aren't they beautiful? They remind me of protea. I wouldn't dare pick one. They were filled with hundred's of ants.
One of many stream crossings...it was impossible to keep your feet dry, especially for a boy.


Ronan found this one on the ground and said " Oh flower, you are so beautiful and smell so good (citrus smelling) and I'm keeping you forever". The flower didn't last long.


The waterfall was just up there.





See all the people swimming? We chose to stay out since there was a BIG, FAT sign that said Leptospirosis warning. Almost all of the fresh water here is contaminated with it. Your chances of getting it are slim, but no swim is worth getting sick.





So if your hiking in Hawaii and hear some Howler monkey's, have no fear. We ended up passing by the monkey's that responded to all of Greg's calls...yes there were multiple calls. We heard them for quite some time as they made their way down the mountain.

Golfing

My boys LOVE to golf! All 3 of them. This is Ronan and Charley's 2nd time hitting balls. Ronan rarely misses a ball and hits them further and better than I can, which isen't saying much, but super impressive for a 7 year old. I think we found a new favorite sport for the boys.

Missed that one.


He spends a lot of time on his toes while he golfs.

Charley's whole body is off the ground again. It's funny to watch him swing.

Fish eyes

There is a setting on my camera that is called "fish eye". Is this really what a fish sees? Scary.
