August fun

 A hot day spent cooling off in the Salmon river.  I (Kari) wasn't crazy enough to go in, but enjoyed a book in the shade with my toes in.  This river is all snow melt and so cold you ache, then go numb.

 Tubing with goggles?  Of course!

 Last week...snakes.  Day and night all talk was of snakes.  One got loose in the garage and still hasn't been found.  And wearing my garden gloves...just to be safe.

 This is what happens when I take them to a reptile show at the library...Ronan " Stand back everyone, this is a very poisonous variety"  They played with the poor snakes for hours.  Thankfully there are no poisonous snakes here.

Spokane trip

 Oh look...I'm in a picture.  Only happens if someone else takes it for us.

 Once upon a time there was a big expo here and the large wire/metal thing in the background held up the tent.  I looked cool, so they left it.  This is a really great park, but it was crazy hot this day.

 Another rare picture of me.  I'm not photogenic and Greg likes to be in pictures so I'm in about 1 out of every 100 we take.  We were walking in the park and along came a horse drawn carriage.  Charley wanted to ride and since it was free, we went.

 

 The KOA campground the Buzby's were staying in had a pool, so the boys cooled off.

 So cute and sweet one moment and crying the next.  We love moody Mariah.

 Poppi (Kari's grandpa and Jim's dad) was turning 80, so we drove 6 hours to celebrate.

 We all managed to forget a cake, so I walked to a nearby bakery and this was all they had?!

 While singing happy birthday, some police officers stopped by to see who's birthday.  They gave him a badge sticker for his birthday.  Then we were all shocked at the size of these men.  Poppi is over 6 feet tall.

 Greg...feeling like such a little man next to the big guys.

A short, but fun trip.  Good to see the family again.

July fun

 We bought a few fireworks and the boys couldn't get enough.  They LOVE fire.  Not a good thing.  Notice Greg was trying to set my garden on fire.

 Nannie and Papa's smelly dog that is too good to sit on the floor.  Boys love her.

 Some beach fun.  As always...chilly.

 The dock that floated from Japan.  Hard to believe something so heavy can float.  They tore it apart and removed it.

 A summer trip to the zoo...to pet goats?  Well since they wouldn't let us pet the lions, the boys had to touch a "wild" animal.

 We are already on our 2nd slip and slide of the summer.  They LOVE it.

 And have lots of cool moves too!
