My view while sipping morning tea.
Happy 9th Birthday Ronan.  He was super pleased to get a real pocket knife.  It came with lots of rules, but apparently I never said "don't use it to cut your clothes" and caught him trying to test the scissors on his pants, so he lost it for a couple of days.

We found a little gnome home.
Good ol' Paul Bunyan.  The boys have a book about Paul, so they were excited to see him.
 And sit on his foot.
 No wonder Babe looks scared!

 Cathedral trees

A tram ride up the hill.

We stopped at an overlook for lunch.  Down below the fog is the beach and ocean.  When the clouds passed, we watch humpback whales feeding...so cool!
 MUST. CLIMB. TREES.

Ferns so big, you can hide in them.  See Ronan behind Charley?
This one was in the campground. They had to climb that one too.

"I love this tree, I wish it was in our backyard"

Elk Prairie lives up to its name.  They were everywhere.
We went up a crazy dirt road to find Gold Beach.  Greg is now 2 days into a nasty illness.  He suffered with body aches, headaches and 3 weeks later, he still has it.  It's now walking pneumonia and a sinus infection.
We took mini naps at every stop.  "Daddy, just open up your hand and hold all the rocks I find"  We brought home pounds of rocks.
 EWWWwww

On our way to see fern canyon.  We had to wait for this guy to finish eating before we could walk by.  They are actually fairly dangerous, so we gave them lots of space.

My pictures don't do this place justice.  Far more beautiful than this.  There were 7 types of ferns growing up the cliffs.  It was like hiking in Hawaii only much cooler.

Our 3 days in the Redwoods are over and we are on our way to Cape Perpetua.  Charley is sharing his Dutch Bros. with Peace bear.  He still sleeps with this bear in the crook of his arm.  The same bear that once laid beside him in his incubator.  The bear was bigger than he was!
