Christmas Tree hunt

We chose an absolutely freezing cold day to go cutting Christmas trees. We had so much clothing on, but still froze. Was it fun? I say go to your nearest tree lot and pick one out. We did get a nice tree for pretty cheap, but the gas money spent driving all the way out to the farm was the same as going to a tree lot. The idea was fun though.

Zoo lights

We bundled up after Thanksgiving dinner and headed to the zoo after dark to see some lights. I have never been to a zoo at night, the only animals we saw were elephants, penguins and sleeping monkeys, but the lights and train ride were fun.

Thanksgiving Dinner part 2

6 kids, 8 adults and a small house makes for lots of noise, big messes and good times. We ate too much food, watched too much tv, but it was a super nice thanksgiving feast. Grandma flew in from Minnesota just in time to join us. Mariah was with us, she missed the whole meal taking a snooze on the couch.

A hike to Horsetail Falls

This was a beautiful hike that was in the Columbia River Gorge...I can't wait to go on another one. If you click on any one of the pictures, you can make them bigger. I keep my boys going on a long hike with a pocket full of goodies...little sugar bursts always work.

Pumpkin Pie

Oh how the boys adore pumpkin pie! They would eat it everyday forever and ever. Yes, they love it that much. This is the Costco pie that fishing Gramps and grandma (thats what they call Greg's dad and step mother) brought for Thanksgiving dinner. They couldn't wait to dig in.

Daddy's got a job!

Okay, so he has had a job for awhile now, I am just catching you all up. He is the Veterans Affairs Coordinator for Clackamas Community College. He says his job is sweet. His first day of work, he had to give a speech in front of about 100 people...I'm glad it was him and not me. He has also made a radio commercial for the college...I tried to post it, but I'm not that good on the computer. So a sweet job for a sweet guy!
